Mahogany case has been sanded and waxed twice, the brass opening hook and stay have been polished.
 
The case measures 430mm tall. The base measures 460mm wide x 305mm deep.
 
The lift up door can be removed or has two positions where the sprung stay holds it open.
 
All the glass is complete without chips or cracks.
 
The makers plaque is not present so I can’t be 100% sure it’s the right case.
 
The Bakelite base is marked ‘Griffen & Tatlock Ltd - Made in Great Britain’.
 
The brass, black and chrome elements have been cleaned but not polished as they look good as is.
 
The scales come with a cased set of weights that are unmarked but complete with eight brass weights, three silver coloured tiny weights under a glass panel and a set of brass tweezers.
 
The box has been sanded and waxed and the brass weights polished.
