A pretty Meissen easel backed mirror measuring 25 x 15cm.
The oval mirror frame is decorated with applied porcelain flowers and leaves with a porcelain ribbon to the top, a pair of winged cherubs to the bottom with scrolling rococo style feet. The frame is marked to the top with the Meissen crossed swords mark (slightly curved blades and pommel dating the piece to between 1815 - 1860)
As is often the case there are some losses to the delicate applied flowers and one cherub has lost a wing but the frame itself has no chips, cracks or restoration.
The mirror is intact but does have an area of foxing to the top.
The wooden easel back has two stable cracks but is firmly attached and the hinge is strong supporting the mirror well.
