Rare, Beautiful and intact “The Alps” glass flask/carafe with an unusual ribbed and threaded body.
The only other example of this flask I’ve found online (by doing a reverse search) was dated 19th century but my feeling is that this flask is in fact 18th century. The term “The Alps” encompasses France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany and Slovenia therefore I can’t be specific as to its exact origins.
The glass is in excellent undamaged condition but does have the usual glass flaws associated with such old glass.
