A highly unusual and rare pair of art glass vases dating to the second half of the 19th century.

The vases are mould blown brown/amber glass with applied dark turquoise gilded roundels, a beaded rim and raised enamel floral pattern very much in the Japonism style which was popular in the aesthetic period (1860-1900)

The vases stand 22cm tall and weigh a substantial 1kg each and are in excellent undamaged condition.

Moser and Harrach both produced very similar wares at this time but because they are unsigned, could also be by Auguste Jean (although Auguste Jeans work is usually signed).
