Rare A. Raynaud & Co Limoges, reissue of the “Aux Papillons” Mug and saucer originally made at the Manufacture Nationale de Sevres in 1777 The only know original of which, now resides at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris.
This reissue strictly conforms to the original and was made by A Raynaud & Co, Limoges, France
The cup and saucer is simply stunning, sumptuously hand painted with entomological and floral motifs within gold frames that encircle both the cup and the saucer dish. 
Both pieces are in exceptionally good condition having only ever been on display. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, restoration or gold loss.
