Stunning Art Nouveau Kralik Draped/Festooned iridescent glass ink stand.
The brass stand is a pleasing curvaceous art nouveau form and has pen holder lugs to the back complete with original brass dip pen.
To the top of the stand there is a notched hole into which is slotted a “bayonet” fitting Kralik Glass ink well.
The inkwell itself is simply sublime being at first glance a rosy red but shimmering with iridescent pink when tilted (I’d say the overall appearance is pink). The lid of the inkwell is firmly fixed and is of a leaf or bud form. Inside the lid is impressed D.G.M. A. K.K. OEST. PATA.
This piece is in exceptional condition, the only flaw being slight damage to the nib of the pen as pictured.
