Superb and scarce bronze sculpture of a young girl with a falcon perched on her hand entitled “Young Falconer”.

The bronze was produced circa 1925 by the Rosenthal Maeder foundry in Germany and has the foundry “RM” mark to the base along with the signature of the artist Gotthilf Jaeger.

This particular figure was made in various forms, some with ivory faces and hands and some purely in bronze as this example is.

The statue is mounted upon a pink and off white onyx socle base which does have a chip (as pictured) fortunately, the chip is to the reverse.

NB The photos make the figure look brighter than it actually is. It is more subdued in real life.
