Beautiful and scarce Royal Doulton Tete-a-tete tea/coffee set.
 
The set is designed for two people although I can’t be sure whether it’s for tea or coffee as the cups seem very small for tea.
 
The set is decorated with a gorgeous pattern of silver birch against a yellow cornfield, blue sky and yellow sun with a dramatic black rim and detailing to the handle.
 
All pieces are fully marked to the underside with the back-stamp, pattern number H2588 and registered design number 718210 which dates the design to circa 1926.
 
All pieces are free from chips, cracks and restoration although there is a little crazing to the teapot lid and rim as pictured.
