Stunning original art deco opalescent glass “Icicle” chandelier/pendant ceiling.
The chandelier was manufactured circa 1935 by Establishment Jean Gauthier (E.J.G) in Ezanville, France.
The main body of the lamp made of patinated copper in a graduating three tiered design. The top and middle tier each has five opalescent “icicles” hanging from a tapering section. The bottom tier has five curved branches with each having an hexagonal opalescent glass shade with smaller icicles around all six sides.
The glass is in excellent undamaged condition and the opalescence is superb the colours glowing through yellow and pink and red dependant on the angle and light source.
This chandelier is complete with its chain and clever ceiling hook which has a cover that just screws into place after the light has been suspended.
The light has been rewired and earthed and comes complete with new bulbs.
Due to the fragile nature of this item, the metal and glass components will be sent in two separate boxes to ensure safe delivery.
