Large pink ceramic apothecary jar dating to the 19th century.
The jar is white glazed earthenware with a puce band and lid. The front of the jar has a lozenge shaped frame with glass front under which the silver, gold and red foil label reads AC.BORIC. I presume this means unguent of Boric Acid - commonly used as an antiseptic.
