Stunning Antique oil lamp standing 78cm tall with a footprint of 15 x 15cm.
 
A brass plinth sitting on four lions paws supports a reeded column with a Corinthian top.
 
The glass font is embellished with deeply cut stars and has an unusual brass top which has a small covered hole, presumably to add fuel, (although a very small funnel would be needed!) rather than removing the burner.
 
The screw-in Duplex burner has two working winders, the winder buttons are marked ‘English Made Duplex’ a working snuffer lever and new wick.
 
The burner supports a flat bulge chimney without any chip or cracks.
 
A brass gallery on the burner supports a vivid blue glass shade with a wavy rim and moulded wrythen pattern in excellent condition with a couple of flea bites to the underside that are invisible once the shade is in place.
