Beautiful antique umbrella/parasol with coffee/ gold coloured silk canopy and horn handle.
 
The parasol is marked to the canopy “Medusa Garantito” which I believe is Italian. 
 
The parasol has a metal shaft with wood and polished horn handle with two silk baubles suspended from a braided silk cord. 
 
The mechanism works well - opening and closing with ease. 
 
There are a few tiny holes and slight fray to the edge of the canopy as per my photographs.
 
I estimate this parasol as dating to the first quarter of the 20th century.
