A beautiful and rare Harrach, Bohemia Etruscan style glass vase. Standing a stately 41cm tall, this vase has a white satin finish body with a milk glass hooped neck. The vase is decorated with images of a Vestal Virgin at the sacrificial Altar, a Greek warrior ( Probably Artes) and another Greek Goddess hold a wreath and bowl. The base of the vase has a gilded band and the flared rim a three dimensional painted Greek key pattern.

The vase is of a substantial glass and is in undamaged condition. Although there is some wear to both the gilded foot and very minor wear to the painted decoration ( as pictured).

Although unmarked, the decoration on this piece is well documented on pages 179and 180 in the book about Harrach glass “From Neuwelt to the Whole World: 300 Years of Harrach Glass” by Helena Bro Kova.
