Stunning antique claret jug/ewer copiously engraved with birds, ferns, roses,leaves and flowers both to the main body and neck with a frieze of laurel leaves to the splayed foot. The quality of the engraving is quite superb and the finishing of the handle screams quality.
The jug has a broken pontil scar to the underside but sadly no makers mark can be found.
