Antique Bell Jar Lantern, Hundi Pendant Light Fitting, Hanging Hall Lantern.
 
Pretty Antique hall light fitting hanging approx 52cm from ring on the top to the bronzed finial at the base.
 
The lamp will needed to be suspended from a hook and/or chain, the length of which will determine the fittings position.
 
The base of the main body, or ‘Jar’ is approx 32cm long and 24cm in diameter at the top.
 
The ‘Lid’ is approx 27cm and either sits on the Jar or sandwiched between the two top metal pieces just below the suspension hook.
 
The main body of the “bell jar” has a fluted cut pattern which refracts and reflects the light within. The jar has a bronze coloured finial to the bottom and is suspended by a bronze band that has a decorative floral frieze and three scrolled suspension hooks. The glass “umbrella” lid over the jar has criss cross cuts and a bronze collar and under-collar. This neatly conceals where a small piece of glass about 1 x 2cm has been broken and glued back in place just near the hole in lid where the metal tube containing the wire goes through.
This flaw cannot be seen when the fitting is in use and has been reflected in the price.
 
The only addition to the light fitting is the more modern brown/black bulb holder which takes a large LED screw in bulb which is included, buyer may decide a warmer light bulb is to their taste.
